Overview

Direct Support Professional

 

Shift for this position: Monday & Friday 11 pm to 7 am.    Part Time Starke

 

Must have at least 6 months IDD and/or caregiving experience, Must have experience with the  autism spectrum; ability to become PCM & PCM 2 (Professional Crisis Management)    

 (Restraint's & Take Down's) for therapeutic restraint holds and are able to   go down to your knees with them if needed.

 

Must Haves:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Vehicle Insurance or listed as a driver on someone else's policy
  • Must be able to pass a level 2 background check

Responsibilities

 

  • Teaching skills to promote independence
  • Supporting community inclusion and integration
  • Assisting with daily living needs
  • Mentoring individuals to help build social skills and relationships
  • Provide guidance and support in daily activities
